ENCOUNTER EGG DROP
The Encounter Egg Drop is a way for Encounter Church and Encounter Learning Center to show our community how much we care. Thousands of Easter eggs are dropped from a helicopter for a fun and festive event for the whole family! In addition to collecting Easter eggs, there are inflatables, outdoor games, opportunities to grab a picture with an Easter Bunny, a treasure hunt, and more! This is an event your family will talk about all year.

Frequently Asked Questions:
I received a ticket notification, but am unable to reserve tickets.
Due to the overwhelming popularity of this year’s event, tickets have sold very quickly. If you are prompted for an access code that means that the event has sold out. In this case you will automatically be added to our waitlist and will be notified if tickets become available due to cancellations.
Will there be food available at this event?
No food or beverage will be available for purchase. We encourage you to bring your own water and snacks.
Should I bring an Easter basket?
No, in order to ensure each child has a chance to collect the same number of eggs, a bag will be given to them upon arrival.
What should I do if I get separated from my child during the event?
Safety is our top priority. We will have a designated area near the bathrooms for you and your child to reconnect in case you are separated during the event. We recommend that all parents write their cell phone number on their child’s wristband so we can get a hold of you if a need arises.
What should I do with the plastic eggs after the event?
Egg recycling bins will be located throughout the event area. Any eggs recycled at the event will be used for future events. Our co-sponsor, Encounter Learning Center, has some fun ideas for upcycling the eggs that make their way home with you at encounterlearningcenter.com/eggcycling.
Where should I park?
Keep an eye on your email as we will send out a parking map with designated parking areas. Handicap parking will be available at the park. Because parking is limited, we strongly encourage you to carpool and limit the number of vehicles used to transport your group.
What is the ideal age for this event?
This event is appropriate for kids of all ages! Children up to age 3 will have their own egg-hunting-zone while older kids enjoy the Egg Drop Zone. We find that the day is most enjoyable for children up to age 12.
What If I reserve tickets and then can no longer attend the event?
If you are unable to attend the event we ask that you cancel your reservation so that we may offer those spots to families on the waitlist.
Can I bring my pet?
No, pets are not allowed at this event. Service animals are permitted.
What type of food donation should I bring to support the Dedham Food Pantry?
Here's a list of the most needed items: https://dedhamfoodpantry.org/donate/wishlist/
